Love Ministries History
Love Ministries has existed for over twenty years in Dallas, Texas using private funding from it's
founders and other religious organizations to reach out to at risk youth residing in low income public
housing. During it's existence, Love Ministries has developed relationships with Dallas Parks and
Recreation and numerous local churches to reach out to disadvantaged, delinquent youth with one or
both parents incarcerated. Also youth from single parent homes at the elementary, high school and
college level have been included. Through the assistance and guidance provided by Love Ministries
many of these young people have accepted Christ into their lives, gone to college and have become
productive citizens in society.

Love Ministries Highlights
During 2005, Love Ministries conducted with mentors over 100 educational and counseling
sessions with an average weekly attendance of 200 youth from the community. Initially many did
not have relationships with Jesus nor had goals of attending college. During the course of 2005
nearly all of them have accepted Jesus Christ and have become members in various local churches.
Many of them now see college attendance as an obtainable goal. The annual Youth College and
Career spring retreat, The Retreat ExperiencE, (TREE) had over 100 attendees consisting of youth
from Love Ministries, local churches and college students from various colleges throughout the
state of Texas. These young people left with a heightened awareness of the presence of Christ in
there lives and a renewed commitment to be an example and leader among their peers. Also during
2005 Love Ministries provided sack lunches and toiletries for 1800 homeless people and provided
Christmas presents for 200 disadvantaged youth.
